Finally hooked up the electric and lit first fire, took abit to get it going then went to 175 fairly quick on front gauge, I need to see what rear stat is set at, was dark by then and to lazy to go get a light.

Feels Great, We don't have kids at home anymore so the hotter than normal water in faucets makes my wife happy, our showers have the anti-scalding faucets. I have to spend some time checking temps on stove as it seems to shut blower down around 170 and doesn't restart till around 150 I think, would like it at 170 to 180 as we have hydronic baseboard heat.

Looking good! Enjoy the warmth! :) Roger

Keeping the temp up like that will increase the longevity of your stove.
180 and above for me!!
-
That is what I have read here, I just have to make sure of the exact temp before making adjustments, I was going off front temp gauge and using a handheld temp reader but the handheld is a guess. I am going to steal wifes cooking temp probe and rap it next to line and see what that says. I know aquastat only goes to 180 (I think) so maybe that is off.
