Title: Flame on!
Post by: 6pacmac on October 04, 2014, 11:04:42 AM
Ok, got the fire lit. It should stay burning till late March, mid April.  The smell of fire will be back on my jacket :).  As I was lighting up, it started to sleet.   So winter has started in my book :P

Congrats on your move away from Big Oil.  Hoping to start our install in 3 weeks, waiting on word from manufacturer.  Cut and split over a cord of wood today in southern Indiana.  Pretty cool here today with lots of wind.  We've got 12 cords cut for this year, hoping that will be enough.  Stay the course.

Mine has been on for two weeks. Burning poplar.

I might also loop some lines under my living room for radiant heat.

I was grinding hay for the cows yesterday and noticed a few times the drizzle tried to turn to snow.

Haven't even started harvest yet and almost had the damn "S" word to content with.
