Title: Sabotage at Fryburg fair!!!!!!
Post by: slimjim on October 06, 2014, 06:11:42 AM
Have a look at what one of my competitors was nice enough to deposit into my chip tank to jam up the auger on the chip boiler at the Blue ribbon classic fair here in Maine, out of about 30 vendors, I am a direct competitor to one and that happens to be the same person who called our office threatening lawsuits for helping Roxanne with her boiler, that vendor also uses augers on their ash removal on their wood boiler so they know what it takes to jam one up, What do you guys think? is this somebody looking out for the wood boiler industries best interest? I know this was not an accident as I watched these chips come through the chipper and they were loaded by me onto a clean pickup bed and then transferred into the chip tank by me using a chip fork by hand, I'm starting to think this means WAR. No damage was done to the unit as it shut itself down but it did cost us shutting down for the busiest day of the show, I AM NOT HAPPY!  Yes Terry I certainly suspect YOU, Take that to your lawyer, I will be contacting your corporate office this week to see how they feel about these tactics!

That sucks Slim.  People will always try and knock other people down.  All it shows is you have a superior product and you are threat to him.

Can you lock the chip box?  that would be an easy solution.

It's funny, this show is the only show I do with these people, I do LOTS of shows and this one is the only one I have ever had problems at, 3 years ago somebody opened the door on my 250 the last night of the show destroying the front of it. Just coincidence I suppose!

I second that, get a hasp and place a lock on it.

Wonder what it was originally? Or did the chip auger tear it up that much? Looks like a piece of one inch shaft that somebody went postal on.

Social Media makes what was once a stupid act that a person could get away with, a career ender.  Get you a game camera next time, strategicaly placed, then, post the pics on the web questioning what "said" person was up to.

Looks like a piece of re-rod (or re-bar if you're not from Michigan).

That REALLY stinks Richard.

But you know....having that happen may have been a blessing in disguise. Maybe P&M ought to employ a magnet in the bin that a piece of metal would have to pass by before entering the auger?

You'll probably never be able to prosecute the butthead, but you can bet he won't be able to keep his mouth shut for long, so in time you'll know who did it! Then you'll have to decide just how you're going to deal with it ;)

I already have a very good Idea whom the culprit is!  She does not realize it but she just gave me a great selling tool with that piece of steel, I know it looks like re bar but it started out as square stock, my auger beautified it a bit if you know what I mean, I will be welding it to a plate and mounting it to my trailer just for show, I look at it this way, if the chip boiler did not break with a deliberate attempt to break it then it has to be pretty tough, THANKS TERRY!!!!!!

Sorry to hear the bad news.  Heatmore is an excellent unit that stands on its own.  Roxanne's thread and your competitor sure haven't done them any favors

Booby traps! Maybe some explosive dye so they can't hide it.
