Fired up my 5000 about 2 weeks ago. I'm loving it especially the hot water.
I talked to the guy that installed my furnace about damper setting. He said he had tried a lot of settings on his and for the most part just kept ending up at 50. What he had best luck with. That is where mine is set and has been doing excellent.
Probably not going to try adjusting until it gets colder and furnace is running more consistent. Mo. Weather is pretty inconsistent this time of year.

Started mine up 3rd day of October 177 at 7 degree diff., air on back open a quarter not quite half way haven 18 to 24 hour burn times depending on the temp out side heating a 1800 sq. foot home well insulated. I have a 24 by 24 ex changer in my furnace and a 20 plate ex changer for my D.H.W., everything working great so far. Temps outside running 50s down to 30s with a 60s day every so often. when it is 50s and 60s during the day I am getting 24 plus hour burn times. ;D

Thanks for info I think these are very well built units I'm amazed with the endless hot water from plate exchanger also the amount of radiant heat being transferred off from pex running on bottom of floor joists actually keeps tile warm on floors so another plus that can be reaped I love it
