how in the world do you straighten this stuff out when its chilly outside..... :bash:

I bet I've got an extra ten feet just in the coils...  :o
-
				ARG ! is how u do !  :) or buy 20' sticks

-
Unroll it in the yard, pull it straight as possible then tie the ends off, this is how I got my Logstor to lay straight.

-
Run it over your knee with both hands on either side of the knee thus bending it straight.

I just bought a 100' ft roll for my install and spent a fair amount of time bending it straight with my knee.  I never thought about laying it out in the yard and pulling it straight.

I unrolled 500' of 1 1/4" by tying one end to a tree, running a 2x4 through the middle of the roll and with one person on each side walking it across my yard.  When I got it all unrolled I tied the other end to my 4 wheeler and pulled it tight.  I let it sit that way for 24 hours and it wasn't too bad to work with after that.

This is the best method that I have found.  Especially if you don't need to unroll the entire thing.  I had a 150ft roll and only need about 75ft or so.  I unrolled it all in my basement.  It wasn't easy by myself.

I pulled a 20 foot section between trees and it did help a little ....   O tried the over the knee on the second run but it coiled back up fairly quickly.... If I ever have to do it again I will buy straight sticks.....    fun fun

I straightened a 250' coil by pulling with the tractor.  No problem.  I also had to form a 10 foot piece with a radius.  That was a workout.
