I voted against the party in power, not that the alternative is much better, but it's the only chance we have to slow down the progressive movement and get back to constitutional values.

Well my state of PA didn't get a Repulican in house which could very well ruin this state. Tom Wolf wants to raise tax on the natural gas industry which 75% of those companies already said if he raises taxes again then they will pack up and move! PA is already the highest taxed state for the natural gas industry. That new Natural gas power plant being built as we speak across from my house might be a waste of money at this point. Who knows maybe they will not even utilize it at this point? THOUSANDS of jobs will be lost...  :bash:

Well, Results are in for the most part here in Maine! Thank our voters and GOD  that our Governor Mr. Paul LePage gets another term over the very liberal Mike Michaud, it also looks like the Republicans have taken control of our state senate with a healthy margin and gained some seats in the house as well, looks to me like it's time for a toast (coffee) Thank you so much Mr. Paul LePage for sticking your ground, speaking from your heart, not your ars and showing us the way to be prosperous once again, Keep up the good work and forget about the condemnation from the wacko's.

My home state of GA did our part in helping to take some control back.  With the change in power I hope that idiot in the white house finally sees the light and gives the people what they want.  It wont surprise me to see his veto pen glued to his hand tho.

They need to serve, not have a lifetime job. The longer they are in there, the more they are ingrained in the good old boy system.

Did our part in Iowa. Dropped the ball some on the state senate, but I will take the national victory and the governor's victory. Hopefully, republicans will grow a pair and do what needs to be done instead of worrying about 2016.

" PA is already the highest taxed state for the natural gas industry. "

I wasn't aware of that, could you direct me to a comparison tax table to other states?

I'm not sure where I found it. I will try to locate it once more. I have lots of friends and family in the gas and oil field industry around my area and most of them are upper management positions. They have already stated if tax goes up anymore like Tom Wolf plans to do then they are prepaired to keep a small portion here to maintain the existing wells but will be moving the big part of there operations to another state. Most likely most of them will be going to Ohio.

It's all about individual States rights, people and business will move to the Country/State/Community that best suits there needs, this typically wakes the politician in control up or gets them thrown out of office. If you don't agree with your local taxes, here is a way to send a message, I did it and proud that I did.
Most town reports have a section that posts the names of those who pay their property taxes late, simply walk into the town hall and ask them to put your name in the book because you will be delaying your payment until they hire a lawyer to put a lien on your property, as soon as you get the notice, pay one year off, the message you send is definitely worth the extra charged for interest, my town office knows me and my ways well, I have been asked several times to run for town office because of my opinions and perhaps that would be a good thing. What do you guys think?

Run. People talk it to death. If you get a chance to help change this top heavy government, go for it.

It's called voting with your feet. I get a kick from the talk of passing regulations requiring US companies to stay in the US. Is it any wonder they'd want to leave? Possibly hundreds if not thousands of new regulations every year that they have to have expensive lawyers translate into plain English of them. Then add in the highest corporate tax rate in the world that they need an army of expensive CPA's to figure out, then corporations are constantly vilified by the left and the media, is it any wonder they have their eyes on other much more business friendly countries? And those in power and the sheep that follow them instead of addressing the reasons the corporations want to leave, instead talk about passing yet more regulations.
