Is there some kind of secret of how to remove the foam from the logstor pex lines? :bash:
-
Time, big flat screwdriver, and a utility knife. I was able to separate the two lines with the screw driver, and used both hands and kinda twisted on the foam really hard and got most of it off. Then Used utility knife to "shave" the residue off.

I used an old kitchen knife. Probably a 10 inch. I keep a few in my tool box. It came in handy for once.

Used my 10 inch butcher knife and the old indian burn technique for the foam. The dremel tool to keep from cut outside wrap and not go to deep.
Thanks for the help. Should fire up my BL in tomorrow or Saturday.

I broke a jig saw blade in half and then cut down the black covering using the white lettering line as a guide, cut the bottom with a knife.
Then used a drywall saw ( keyhole saw ) and cut down between the two pex pipes, holding on to one.
Then grab one foam covered pex and twist hard, it will loosen from the pex and it will slide off easily, usually in 10 to 16 inch pieces.
