I use the stainless steel 1" clamps on my pex connections. What is the best tool to do this type of connection? I bought a cheapy off ebay for 30 bucks, works great but I sold it today to a customer. Ordered another just like it but I noticed on the one I sold the ends of the teeth were starting to bend a little bit. Whats a good one to buy?

Ayuh,.... I bought this 1 from Watts,.... about $100... I Love it...
It's set up so it crimps Right every time,... No over crimping...
Pump it tight, 'n turn the release...

I have a Watts with the straight red handles. It is holding up very good. Takes some muscles on 1" though ;D
I don't think I would trust an off brand Chinese one. Especially if they are anything like those clamps they make. I bought a bag off ebay and as soon as I saw that spot weld on them I sent them back.

I have an a Apollo that has held up good. Cost around 100 to. Looks just like the Watts but has yellow handles. Probably made by same company.

I purchased a zurn tool the other day. It doesn't do the regular zurn style clamps, it's for the regular ones that I use. I've yet to use it because I broke my wrist, but my helper likes it. It's really hard doing stove installs when you can't cut pipe or squeeze a clamp
