Title: Darn it's cold
Post by: slimjim on November 21, 2014, 01:52:34 PM
Well, I found out that my 7.3 litre deisel will not run with no power, we lost the alternator about 1 1/2 hours ago and tried to make it home, 1/2 hour from home the guages died and about 5 minutes later so did the 7.3 litre, sure glad I'vegot the gas stove in the camper to keep warm until my buddy Kevin shows up with booster cables!

I blew a tranny line last night on my plow truck. Good thing I was plowing my driveway when it blew.

Kevin showed up about 45 minutes after my call with booster cables and a brand new $195 alternator, 5 guys, cold on the side of a very busy 2 lane road, about 15 minutes later we were on the road with the new alternator installed.  this reminds me of a plaque that my grandmother had on her sink windowsill, ( True friends are like diamonds, precious but rare, False friends are like autumn leaves, found everywhere ) I think that sums it up, Thanks Kevin, Dan and I thank you!
