Title: is there an issue with my system
Post by: caper on November 23, 2014, 06:37:24 PM
four zones came on at one time, zones with cast iron rads get hot quick, two floors with in floor are on for hours, temp slowly creeping up,and its only -1 out, what could the issue be,i mean ive heard of a lot bigger homes with outdoor boilers work with no issues, house is approx. 4000 sq feet, and should I have pumps for each zone,i only have one pump for circulating. house is staying warm but its still only warm out and it appears to be struggling,in feb it will be -20 then what.....gee I wish I had someone in the local area who could come and solve some issues, everyone who comes has a diff idea,is this  issue the same everywhere else too....

Sounds like your system is starving I have a similar problem when all zones are on but from what I see I have no primary and secondary system set up in floor heat with baseboard and when they all call for heat only the bigger loops get heated I'm in the process of figuring out the piping ..please let us know what you come up with
