Saw in the Menards ad what looks to be a pretty good price on a 27 ton splitter.
Dirty Hand Tools with a kohler engine.

I just checked the website, that is a great deal. I have used this log splitter and it works very good. I have split wood with it when it is near 0 Degrees Fahrenheit and it starts and runs great. The log catcher is a big time and back saver.

Merrell, I too saw this ad and thought WOW. I bought this exact splitter last year on sale for $899. It's been a good splitter for me and I have no regrets. I certainly would buy it again. And yes the log catcher is very helpful. I've seen some posts of others on here who have built their own with very elaborate log catchers and after I've had a taste of what this small catcher will do, I want one of those elaborate ones.

Thank you for the heads up! I've been shopping around for a long time and the Dirty Hands Tools supplier was a top 3 choice for me! So, I got it Thursday morning!

I figured someone would be glad. I picked up 2. My cutting buddy and I put them together last night. I am impressed so far. Now it's time to put it to work.
