Title: help on making a door

help on door the stove i am making is 36 inch pipe inside 48inch pipe getting ready to start to make the door what do you guys  think is best along with a latch to hold door closed thanks for help

here is my door. angle frame inside and out. door is filled with firebrick

nithing fancy  but works well

We need a little more info from you.What shape and size of door are you thinking of?Can you fabricate and bend,or roll the steel?I would definatly install some sort of fire brick or K-wool in the door to insulate it and help keep it from warping.
As far as a latch.Make sure whatever you make is adjustable along with the hinges.The door seal will flatten out over time and you will need to adjust it.Always plan ahead for the future. :thumbup:
