Outdoor Wood Furnace Info

So I am planning a heated mud room for the summer. I will need to put it on sauna tubes because of rocks as foundation in this area. I would like to install radiant heat in concrete, not shure if I can without the extra cost of someone to pump it. Anyone use something similar to war Board? How do you like it? Radiant in the walls?

use warm board my whole house is warm board ,if yours will be in a crawl space/ open to the outside do this..... (http://i1119.photobucket.com/albums/k632/atvalaska/IMG_0086.jpg) ( I have r40 + rim joist/ 2x8 walls) I took the stupid reflextix/astro foil ( the ONLY use for this stuff PERIOD) stapled it to the under side of the BCI's/ I joists ,leaving the 1.5 space open >> then spray foam it ... the pic I posted is of my rim joists ...I rolled out the foil stuff then on the ends, I rolled it back in on itself 1' from outside wall then sealed it with foam ...u could do same then spray the foil with foam ...... .02 cents > although these guys sure liked what I did http://www.cchrc.org/ (http://www.cchrc.org/)

Pipes in concrete, CAN NOT be run with 180f boiler water, you have to mix down.
I prefer to put pipes in concrete, because it is really hard to retro fit and put the pipes in later ::) but thats just my opinion

No problem mixing down, think I amgoing to try radiant walls too.

OK gald to hear you have no issues mixing down, just wanted to help make sure you had all the information you needed before you pulled the trigger

Something you may want to look into is called Smart Trac by Watts. I will be using this system on an upcoming project. The thing that impressed me with this system over others I have installed is that you don't need to cover the PEX with metal/flashing so as you put down your finished floor you can see the PEX. Should save time in marking/measuring to avoid hitting something.
