Title: domestic water
Post by: shanez28 on December 07, 2014, 05:23:57 PM
Can someone tell me if I need a expansion tank on the domestic line. I have a 200 Mahoning with a built in coil to heat my water so I ran the return into my water heater using a Honeywell mixing valve ,but not sure if that's the  right way to do it .

Yes, your domestic water when heated will expand the same as in a hydronic system, most folks simply use their hot water tank in the loop, that serves as the expansion tank.
