Title: Moisture in the control box

I recently replaced my Heatmaster 10,000 with a 20,000.  The guy I sold my 10000 to called me today.  He said the fan would keep running after it hit its high set point.  I went over and checked it out and he wasn't lying.  The fan would just keep on rolling regardless of water temp.  Temps would be boiling the stove over so he would have to shut the power off to the stove.  I took the cover off the love control and there was noticeable moisture inside the box.  Anyone seen this before?

And you never had an issue with it? Perhaps moving it, a piece of trim or siding was moved, allowing water into the box? One thing for certain, the Love control didn't create the moisture, before replacing the control, we had better find out where it came from!

Was it raining when it got moved? Is there a possibility that the unit was overfilled and water from that ran into the control box?

Rain and snow cannot get to the control box.  It was overfilled several times but still it could not get into the control box.  I Have a feeling it's condensation due to several refirings after allowing the temps to get so low in the stove.  Also the moisture was inside on the ceiling of the control box.  A simple "smack" on the side of the stove next to the control box will shut the fan off.  I'm thinking about drying it out with a hair dryer and maybe putting a little bag of rice in with it to absorb any remaining moisture.

Well when you get to be my age, it could be one of those little blue pills but that is not the case here, it is the Aqua Stat used in many cases on OWB,s.  It is simply another brand and style than our Ranco's or Johnson controls, personally I'm not fond of it!

I believe Heatmaster learned their lesson and is switching or has switched to ronco
