Post by: homelite on November 02, 2010, 12:35:55 PM
I,m new to this forum. I just this fall purchased a 4030 central boiler. I have it hooked up and we are really enjoying it. Does anyone out there have this model . How many sq.ft. are they heating and how much wood. I am heating 1500 sq.ft. and my water. I live in mich. Just wondering how much wood approx. I will be using.

Hello. I am pretty new here too, but welcome. Last year I burned 5+/- cords between mid October and April. Used a wide variety of wood too.  We heat/domestic water 1200 sf with a 6040 in the state of Maine.  You wont know how much you will burn in a winter until you do it a time or two.  The best thing to do is have plenty of wood, burn smart and make a note of it for next year
