Anyone tell me where you can get a Moisture meter ? What would be a good average of moisture in your wood.

Lowes. 25-20% is good. Anything under 20% is great

Lowes had them in the cardboard gift display boxes, on clearance after Christmas for 30% off.  Got one for $20 the other day, works good so far.

Here's one on Amazon. You just set it against the wood and hit the button. How accurate would it be? Is its high moisture high enough? If it works, it's so cheap everyone should have one. Check out the video.

They all give a reading its gonna be close enough within a couple percent, they don't need to be exact!
