Title: Anyone know the story behind Heiss Heaters
Post by: intensedrive on January 28, 2015, 10:44:58 PM
I almost purchased from them years ago.. They have a weird setup and design.   They use a reservoir tank inside the home.   Looks like the whole unit is comprised of masonry material.  Again the stove looks like it has no water jacket just a tank inside the home.  I'm from Michigan and seem to be from the Grand Rapids area.  I have not heard anything about this stove.  Was curious if anyone had more information, the design is much different from you see on most stoves..

Basically it's a cement stove with pipe in the cement, you pump water thru the pipe which picks up heat from the masonry material and that heat is stored in your basement instead of at the stove.

Thanks, I don't see other stove manufacturers using this design.  Thought it was interesting
