So tonight I went to load my BL 3444, and as I was loading it my hinges broke off the the outside insulated door..... It is a little breezy but nothing that I would of thought to be concerned about the door.... These hinges are cheap.. Anybody else have this problem yet? And any ideas of what to do?

Fence post for a doorstop... Screen door spring assembly...
-
I didn't just let the door go and fly open.. I set the latch and was putting my 4th log in and then the door just fell off..
-
The wind was blowin the way you shut the door also..

They are a little chincy. All you can do is find a bigger, stronger hinge system and some self tappers. It definitely should have been better from the factory.

Ya for sure.. I am going to get new hinges tomorrow.. But I'm going to put grade 5 bolts in it.. Not self tappers. The door is a lot heavier than it looks, I'm supposed they put these cheap hinges on the nice stoves.

My front door broke off this weekend my new BL-2840. Not impressed, poor design. Gotta figure out best way to fix. I agree that door is heavy.

Loctite Blue on the hinge screws will help. ;) I find it is more the screws backing out than the hinge failing. :o

FYI - Spoke with the dealer today. He said it's an issue they are aware of. P&M are shipping new hinges right away. They may have to add a third hinge because of the weight of the door.

Good to know., I will give them a call tomorrow.
