Just want to say good luck to all as we get ready for some of the coldest weather in a long time. May have to throw a little coal to the stove to help them burn times get thur this cold spell.

I had to leave town this weekend. I loaded at 8 a.m. on Saturday with 3 - 5 gal buckets of large lumps of coal and the rest with hedge. Turned the thermostats down in the house. It got down to 5 Saturday night. Came home on Sunday around 5 or so and still had wood left in there!! I didn't actually load until Sunday night!
Getting cold here this week. Was -5 this morning. Going to see if the wife can stand me putting in some coal. Have to pray for a north wind or she won't let me!!
How did you fare with that snow Mr. Kybaseball?? We ended up with about 8" here.

We ended up with about a foot or so. Been putting a little coal with wood and getting really long burn times. Man you can't beat these stoves.

My stove is gonna get a good workout tomorrow night. Supposed to be -6 and really windy. My old drafty house gets pretty cold I'm those conditions!
-
Yep, gonna be some cold nights for the next few. Supposed to hit -7 tonight. We rarely get negative temps here.
Kybaseball, have you replaced your door rope yet? I think I'm starting to get some serious air leakage now. I hope to finish out the burn season, but I don't know. I'm getting some serious temp over-runs. Might have to replace it sooner. 1.5 seasons doesn't seem very long to me for a rope. Hopefully Slim can still sell those silicone ropes even though he's with HM now.
How bout it Slim? You still selling them?

I never sold a one CBJ, Brian still has them at P+M
