Feel free to comment on what brand you have, what steel it's made out of, what design it is, how long it's lasted, any repairs, and etc. If warranty issues, how did it go? Feel free to comment.

I got the idea from the forestry forum. Check out their results.

Homemade knock off of a central boiler, mild steel 5/16" firebox going on 15 years old. Slightly bigger than a 5036.

13 year old Wood Doctor, still running as a backup, inefficient as hell but what a great work horse, I changed 1 solenoid about 6 years ago when lightning fried about all our electronics in the house, sadly I will be removing it in a few weeks in order to make room for a new G-400 from HeatMaster, I will then replace the bottom of the tank and probably re sell it this summer.

6 yrs lil powerhouse boiler 16 gauge steel using 35 gallons rv antifreeze could not handle my house since day one 5 hr max burn time ... I pooped a hole I the back of the fire box while loading after many hrs of attempting to repair it I decided to cut my loss....

6 years on a home built. Been happy with it. Hope it lasts many more, but if it doesn't, I'm already thinking about build 2.0

Aqua-Therm S-275..This is my 8th winter..Install in 2006..No problem with it at all..Just your normal wear and tear through out the yrs.. like door gasket replacement, fan flapper replacement and a relief valve replacement..and recently the spring that lifts the flapper when the fan is on...Its been a great boiler for me..

2001 aqua therm no major problems just normal replacements

Hardy H-4 installed March of 2012. No problems as of now.

5th year with CB 2300. Factory upgrades were done when I got it.
I've only replaced wear items- 2 solenoids, firebox door gaskets and refractory on reaction chamber door. Been a good boiler.
After year 4 I broke even on my investment. This is finally payback year and hope to get at least 5 more years out of it.

I inherited my grandfather's 1996 model Central boiler model 17. He purchased it used and burned it for about 3 years before I got it. It developed a small leak after my uncle forgot to close the door and boiled it over while hooked up at my grandfathers. My uncle welded it (he's not a welder) and it held for about a year. It just started leaking again. I have my brother in law geared up to fix it right (he is a welder). I plan on keeping it going as long as possible.

This is the fifth winter for my Shaver Pro Series 165. Replaced some electrical stuff in the past.

This is my first winter with my Hawken HE-2100, not much chatter about them on here, but it has served us very well.

Had a heat master 5000 for five years and never touched a thing on it. I upgraded to a 5000E two years ago and have no problems with it either. On a side note my father in law has been heating with the same boiler he bought new back in 1985! :o He goes thru 25 cords a year and has never had a leak. He has replaced fan and thermostat only once. His circulation pump is also original. I am not even sure what make it is...can never remember when he tells me. ??? Oh and he burns tires, garbage and pretty much anything that will burn in it!

Got eight years out of my WD 8000. It started leaking a couple years ago. I have brazed it up five or six times now. Currently limping along on about half a tank of water and aquastat set at 150°. Tragically, this is happening during some of the coldest weather we've had this year. The shiny new P&M BL 3444 is due in a few days!

Have a hardy h5 going on 11 years had to put a blower on it to small for my house it has had the dog run out of it been great!

Hardy H4. Build tag says 9/91 so that makes it 24 years old this year. A leaking port weld on the back was repaired.

This is my second season, putting in my OWB is one of the best decisions i have ever made!! It was rough last year because I didn't have a stockpile of wood, but this year I haven't had to cut since New years and I still have plenty of wood piled up. It has almost paid for itself already.
-
It appears that most owb's are between 1 and 5 years old, but this appears to be mostly because a large percentage of OWB's have been purchased in the last 5 years. It would be interesting to do a separate poll just on how old your last one was when it quit. Not as many people would respond, but if someone wants to do it, feel free.

I've got a woodmaster 434 had it 12 years going on 13. Great stove.
