Title: pump HP?
Post by: NCStateGuy on December 12, 2010, 09:05:07 PM
Just curious if there is supposed to be a standard size pump for the 6048.  After mine got hooked up, I noticed 2 pumps were 1/8HP and 1 was 1/25 HP.  The 1/25 HP is getting the water to the hx and then to the coil, but not getting thru the coil.  In fact air is in the return line leaving the coil.  I back flushed all the air out with garden hose to try and re-prime it but the air came back??  Could it be there is a small hole in the coil letting air in somehow?

ANy help appreciated!!

air could be be getting in from shaft seal on pump ,common problem on just about every kind of pump.

Ok, Thanks rosewood.  I will check that.  And let you know.  My dealer is coming Wed, and I'm gonna let him troubleshoot it.
