I have three old racks that are just skeletons, I used to put tops in them that we cut 4’ long. I’m going to cut up some scrap cattle panels we have lying around for a bottom and on the uprights. Then I have two trucks that came out from under junk augers, they are like 3” thick wall pipe, I’m guessing 1/4” wall, I’ll use them for the runners on the bottom of the new racks then use the 2x2” channel iron that ran along the bottom of the auger tube for the roller at the top of trucks to run in. Both augers were a minimum of 50 foot long so plenty of scrap tube and channel iron in them.
I get the racks done and the wife said she’ll start filling them. Was a hard winter here and she’s still fighting off cabin fever.
