Yesterday I flew to Baltimore to take a look at a possible replacement truck for the old Ford! I drove it home yesterday, it needed nothing but fuel! 2004 Blue bird handicap School bus with a 7.3 Litre international, oh boy what a service truck / camper this will make!
-
Nice! You could make it into a multi-use service/party bus!
-
Niceeeee. The biggest benefit I see is that Danny will be able load you into the camper with the lift. Haha. Hope it works out well for you.
-
NICE guys but all kidding aside! I am very happy with it, it's exactly what I was looking for, I may add some air conditioning someday but making a comfortable camper / service truck with it will be awesome
-
Definitely add an air conditioner. You can get a 5000 BTU window unit that only draws 4.9A of 120v AC. While the bus is running, it can run off of an inverter pretty easily and if the bus is off, a Honda 2000w inverter generator is big enough to power it. You've got all of those windows, you might as well make use of one of them by filling it in with a small air conditioner.

You got to love those 7.3 it will run for ever!
-
Jeez guys, no short bus jokes yet?
I’m disappointed.
-
Funny you mention that, it's the first thing I wanted to name it, now I think I'm leaning towards
( not a bus ) How about some other ideas guys? I just got back from finishing that manifold that I posted the picture of a couple of weeks ago and we were supposed to take it to our local biker bar for some adult beverages with a bunch of buddies, my daughter was going to be wheel man but she couldn't go last night and we had to push it off for a week or two.

Dan and I are on another road trip! This one is to the forestry expo in Booneville NY, I'll try to post a few pics later today of the massive amount of equipment here at the show.
For anyone interested in coming to the show, it is about 45 minutes north on route 12 of Utica NY, for those interested in a boiler, I'm sure there will be some good deals to be had here, there's lots of our competition , Brian is here from P and M, A Heatmor dealer, a CB dealer, a Crown Royal dealer, our friends from Vigas indoor boilers and many more including some Amish built stuff, Please come on out and enjoy the show, it should be a great weekend! We will be running our show HeatMaster G 200 and Bob Hunt, the local dealer has several of the 2014 models here that he is willing to make a deal on!

Boy, that is a nice looking show boiler you have there. Now what is with the plunger on the trailer??
-
WOW, good eyes, that's one of our inventions, it's an electric toilet plunger, it doesn't do anything but to get folks to smile or laugh, it works really well for that purpose!
-
Hey Slim i am glad I got to meet you and your friends on my vacation. Is that the trailer the one you were working on? I take my hat off to anyone that can fab up something that good.
-
Right back at you Ijon, no that is my newly purchased show trailer this year, it's a 12,000 pound capacity 18 foot deck. The Brindle that we are building only has wiring to go, I'm waiting for the LED lights, they should be at home by the time I get back.
-
Too bad had no wifi at the campground Slim,we were camping 40 minutes north of you near Natural Bridge,New york, could have slipped down to see the show!
-
Yes Mr Maple, that is too bad, I'm surprised you didn't hear about the show, they said it attracts about 40,000 people!
-
Well the Magic Bus is parked in my shop for a bit, no more road trips for now, we are giving it a much needed paint job with some upgrades, it will be painted with traditional Heat Masterss G series colors, I might even put a stack on the back and flame the hood, What do you guys think?
-
...I might even put a stack on the back and flame the hood, What do you guys think?
Hell yes! 8)
-
stack on the back would be sweeeeeeeeeeet

We did a grip finish on the top and I have a ladder off the old camper we bought for parts, I'll be putting a patio umbrella on the top for extra visibility and recreational use at shows. Kinda like Nascar!

whatever you do......DO NOT paint it like Hillery's campaign bus. You might get shot at!
