Title: 4400 WATER OUT OF THE FILL TUBE
Post by: kommandokenny on October 16, 2015, 07:25:32 AM
Just started up the 3 year old 4400.
It was at about 130f and I have quite a bit of water coming out the fill tube on top.
Pump is pumping and water is circulating.
Any ideas??

Did you top the stove off in the spring when you shut it down? If so, this is totally normal. Mine overflows as its heating up too. Remember, water expands as it heats. It'll level off and quit overflowing once you're up to temp.

Agreed,  sounds like water expansion.  Mine spit out the vent on start up this year.

Thanks guys,, thats what it was.
Topped it off it at operating temp, after water stopped expanding,, only took 1/2 gallon.
