Well I have been trying to get a bigger saw for bucking up logs.I found a good deal on one online, but I had to wait to see if I was going to have a down week at work.My buddy said he was buying a new MS 460 ,and that I could have his old saw.
I paid for the 2 new chains he just got for it.So I have $60 in it so far. :D
I am so stoked getting it.Stihl 038 Magnum, with 25" bar 3 used just sharpened, and 2 brand new skip tooth chisel chains.
I have to thank the lord for looking out for me and blessing me with great friends.I can't wait to sink it into some wood sometime soon. >:D

You lucky dog, glad to see you got the 038 magnum tho! They are a beast. It will cut really close to his new 460 and the older 038 mags are made better I beleive. Pretty long bar for firewood tho! You'll love the saw! I love mine!

Hey that's funny.I forgot you said something about having an 038 and how nice they are. ;D
I am glad I got it.The price was definatly right.I was going to buy this 066 on another site, but I told the guy I had to wait and see if I was going to get laid off for a week or not.If I was I was going to pass on it.Well they said we were going to be down for one week.SO I sent the guy a message saying I had to pass on his saw. Then my buddy tells me he was picking up his new saw last night ,and that I could have his old one.I was just amazed at how that worked out.

66's are nice to. I've had about 7 or 8 of
em. They are beasts but you gotta be one helluva man to run it all day. Lol
-
Nice saw and don't think you can beat the price. May the blessings keep coming your way.
-
Thats a dang good looking 038 Mag. You could probably get 400-500 bucks out of it on ebay :) lol
-
I am not gonna sell that puppy >:D Matter in fact I think I am going to have to go get her dirty this weekend.I just ordered some bigger felling dogs for it on ebay.Since it only has the one small inside one on it. :D

Well I got my new West Coast style felling dogs yesterday that I scored on ebag. They came with new hardware and everything.I put them suckers on tonight and went and tried them out.I got to say that I LOVE THEM! no more slipping on the bark now.

What the hell, they aren't motorized or retractable or anything! with your fab ability I was expecting nothing less lol.
They will surely make cutting easier.
-
Heck, I am waiting for the homebuilt feller/processor all in one unit. ;D Come on Jackel, what are you gonna do to best the furnace project? ;D ;D ;D
-
Dang! :o tulenutn2o and bikeralan, between the 2 of you a guy can't get a break!LMAO!!!! ;D ;D ;D Bring your steel and I will tell you how to make your own gasifier. >:D >:D
I don't know if I will top the boiler project for a bit.I have a winch bumper(picked up the new winch saturday) ;) to build for my wood truck, and perhaps a nice flatbed for it.
Buddy of mine did get a new big Timberwolf splitter that i might need to go see about improving on in my own way ;)
We did talk about a feller /processor attachment at work the other day!How funny you brought that up. :D

lol! Glad the stove is working good for you!!, I admire your fab skills. I am a gorilla welder, strong but ugly.

I have my good and bad days at welding, but mostly, I'm with ugly and strong. ;D I welded up some beadloks for the racecar a couple years ago...........let's just say they worked but certainly were not tubeless. Jackel, your gasifier looks just like mine in operation, I am hoping it is a good one and lasts a long time.
-
Well guys I have my gorilla welding days sometimes too. ;)
I am very happy with it so far.I have a few things i plan to tweak this summer when I can shut it down.
Oh and I might have an project to top thi furnace if I can wrap my head around the electronics part.I think I would like to try and build a cnc plasma burn table for the shop.I can build it,but just not sure on the computer electronic side of it.Going to have to do a lot of research on this subject :o

Jackel, I have been looking at these with great interest myself and the pricing is like boilers, kinda pricey for what they sell you. I would think once you found a suitable software the rest would be somewhat , dare I say it?, easier. I can't wait til you start.
