Post by: hofmus on November 01, 2015, 10:28:45 AM
Almost time to fire up. Is there a way to get stubborn creosote off sides of firebox inside? I tried scrapping , but still hard as a rock? Any suggestions? Heatmore 200cs Thanks

Burn lots of cardboard that will get it off!

I burned cardboard all day in the spring and it worked great. Turned the heat up in the garage to keep the fire going strong.

Grinder or drill with a wire brush on it works after you burn it off with cardboard

You can also through some aluminum cans but you need it to be hot enough that it will melt the cans.
