Title: getting ready to make the door

i could use some advice from the many talenet on this site how do you make a door that is adjustable  and a door lach

I kept mine simple, i never allowed for adjustment I made my hinge out of pipe and a 3/4 inch rod that fit snugly inside and made the hinge like a piano hinge all the way the full length of the door. i am in year 11 and there is no wear that is showing yet

others likely have more elaborate set ups but i like simplicity

Mine are slotted to allow adjustment in and out for the shrinkage of the rope seal of the door.Plus to allow for a perfect fit of my door to the door frame opening.My latch is slotted so I can adjust it in and out to allow more or less pressure to be applied to the door.I also used studs to mount the hinge onto to allow the use of shims to align my door sideways.Worked out very nicely.good luck :thumbup:
