adamant - I don't know if you saw my response in the other forum, but according to the CB manual it should be between 20 and 30; no lower than, no higher than 30.  Roger

Id check in your manual. Looking at the manual for my new Classic Edge, it says to initially treat to 20 -30 drops, but after initial treatment, the maintenance target level is 15-30 drops. I dont know if this is exclusive to just this line of stove or not. I ran a Classic 5648 before this stove and kept the water between 20-30 for the 13 years I ran it.

Also, the permanganate has a shelf life. If your kit is more then a few years old, they can sometimes give inaccurate results.  With my old 5648 I'd have to get new permanganate every 3 years or so.
