Title: pex to copper question

i have standard 1 inch pex running from boiler to house. This Spring I want to clean up the inside plumbing as it runs from one side f my garage and under my house. would it be ok to go from 1 inch pex to 1 inch copper? I the ID on the two are different...or, should i just go down to 3/4 copper???? i believe they are close to the same ID.
there is a sale on copper pipe at a store in my area.....i might just buy now while its cheap.

I went from 1"pex to 1" copper. I wouldn't go to 3/4" if I were you. With the added flow resistance that copper 90's give, stay big, 3/4" is just going to make it worse.

Definitely goto the 1” copper. If in the future you need more heat and change your underground line to a larger size then your already good in the house.

makes sense....thanks guys. I didnt know it changing pipe ID on the same run would mess up flow in anyway.
