Title: De-scaling a boiler and piping?

Hello

Have a Central Boiler thats been running for 2 years with high alkaline (>9ph) water. Recently drained and re-filled with water from the conditioner (6.5ph). After 2 days the PH was back up to 9ph. I suspect there's lime and calcium still in the pipes, etc.

Anybody know of any solution you can put in the boiler to de-scale the thing before I drain and refill again. Its a 450 gallon system.

I am a little confused. Our water hear is normally at 7ph out of tap boiler manufacturer recomends 7-10. I sent test in and tested 9.5 and they said GREAT! Boiler treatment raised it to that point. I had filled mine with softened water probably 290 gal + 30 or so tap as recomended by manufacturer.Mineral levels and such were great also. My understanding is that steel will not rust with high PH. Wood boiler solutions, I believe has a descaler. Scaling, though, I believe is more of a hard water concern. (water with high mineral content, etc.)
