Title: Big Deal?
Post by: bcanode on April 16, 2016, 06:07:36 PM
The ball float came off of the water level indicator. (inside the stove) Is this a big deal?  I'm going to call my dealer tomorrow. Just curious.

No it is not a big deal, try to snag it by filling the boiler with water, it should rise up the tube.

Did the ball unscrew or did it corrode off? If its corroded you need to send a water sample to Heatmaster ASAP! That is an aluminum rod and if you have an electrolysis problem in the stove it acts an anode rod and will corrode. What was the result of your last water sample?

Checked your ser.# with Heatmaster. Oct sample had high conductivity. Did you adjust your water as indicated to get that under control? They want another sample from you. High conductivity will cause electrolysis.

Thanks. Will send another sample. Drained it halfway and refilled at their recommendation.
