Title: indoor boiler problems
Post by: johnmn on May 02, 2016, 07:14:49 PM
I have a pressurized aqua-therm wood boiler that is plumbed direct to my  indoor gas boiler. Everything works good for the most part except for every year when I shut my wood boiler down I have a relief valve on my indoor that starts leaking and every summer I replace it. Well I'm getting tired of and and wondering what I can do? Would installing a plate exchanger help? Not sure any help would be great thanks

Are you shutting off the valves to the AquaTherm when you shut down? If so then perhaps the issue is not the relief valve but instead your expansion tank on the gas boiler plumbing.
