Title: Fruit trees
Post by: coolidge on July 30, 2016, 07:48:21 PM
How is your apple crop this year?   My apple trees are not producing much at all, but my pear trees are LOADED.  I have watched deer run by an apple tree to get to those pears.

Opposite here, tons of apples, hardly any pears or cherries this year.

My peach trees aren't putting out much this year, the cherry tree did nothing, but the apple tree is touching the ground already and they're only about the size of golfballs so far.

Bumper crop of cherries, half my apples are a bumper and the other half have a couple apples on them never seen anything like it. Pears are so-so and plums are a bumper crop. Deer pass up all of them except the plums they absolutely love plums.

Golden Delicious tree in the front yard is going to be breaking branches from the load, same with the pear trees. Rest of the 70 plus apple trees had lots of apples, but 100's and 100's of apples falling off every day from lack of moisture.

I’ve noticed the same, just barely brush a branch when mowing and loose a few apples, if we don’t get rain this Friday I’m gonna break the traveller out and let it run all day.
