Title: Visitor from Middle East
Post by: Roger2561 on December 23, 2016, 06:04:50 AM
Hi all - My supervisor will be retiring at the end the month so there's a search going on to replace him.  We had a Skype interview with one of the candidates who's from Dubai.  He's been a contractor for the past 11 years over there.  He said their winter temps are around the 90F mark with their summer temps approaching 120 to 130F.  On January 5th he's stopping in for a site visit/interview, in the dead of winter!  He informs us that he's initially from the Baltimore area.  Still, Baltimore winters do not compare to the North New England winters.  Me thinks he's in for a bit of a shock when he gets here.  I hope he did his research of the weather before he gets here.  Roger

Last time visiting the wife’s relatives, we left London Heathrow and it was 58 degree’s there, landed in Chicago and it was 7 with a -5 windchill. That was quite rude.

Just email him NH weather once a week. Tomorrow  and Friday would be good to send him

Perhaps I'm simply quibbling over details but I don't have his email address.   :)   Roger
