Title: Remote monitoring of a G200
Post by: Jon_E on January 06, 2017, 12:42:58 PM
Wondering if any of you guys have set up some kind of remote monitoring system for your OWF that would send you temperature readings and other data to a smartphone or tablet?  I know that Central Boiler has their Firestar XP system, but that was not nearly enough of a selling point to convince me to buy another Central Boiler.  On the other hand, the technology can't be all that complicated.  Something as simple as a temperature monitor that would let me know what the water jacket temperature is at any given moment.

I would like something like that also, maybe even something to see how hot it is gassing.

At one time at a dealers meeting I thought I was told that a wifi unit was available from Siemens for the Logo! controller.

I’ll try to remember to call corporate and ask.

I looked it up through Siemens. They do have a wifi module which I believe is compatible with the newest logo controller  which is on the 2016 models. The 2015 models with the previous logo version might be compatible. So I called heatmaster and talked to them about it. They said that yes you can hook up the module but you will only be able to see if certain parameters are completed or open etc. fr example if p1 means damper is open you will be able to see that. They claimed you wouldn't be able to see temp etc. he also said that within likely 2 years they would be coming out with there own system like central boiler so they could do a wifi module etc.
