General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / Re: Now's my chance - changing the layout

Thinking about it. If you have a inspection box in the ground that you could check you splices. Making sure they were in good shape.

I see no problem with a above ground splice. I have had one for two years and no problems.

General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / Re: America won, no more corrupt clintons.
« on: November 21, 2016, 04:59:18 AM »I have been asked to stay away from politics and religion on the forum as it sometimes turns people off, with that being said, I go to Church once a year at my favorite county fair in Waterford, Me. I like the atmosphere there, it's in a tent. I am sure to say grace at our Thanksgiving meal every year! Other than that I guess you wouldn't consider me a very religious man. I adhere to the 10 commandments, I try not to hurt or take anybody's personal liberty, do as you like BUT take personal responsibility for your actions!
Great post schoppy, Thanks for putting GOD and OUR country first. AMEN! Check you pms Slim

What is the first thing to look for when a BL 2840 won't have the fan come on to start a burn? I have power and it comes on and goes through its cycle, but fan won't come on.

General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / Re: Out of no where
« on: January 06, 2016, 05:36:28 AM »I was helping my neighbors twin grand daughters put the bridle on one my Saddle bred geldings. He had some fungus in his ears and had always been sensitive with them. I always turn his head to the side to put on the bridle he lifted up and at the same time stepping forward got me off my feet and to the ground. I knew when I hit the ground I had really hurt myself this time! There was a small rock in the frozen ground and I hit it with dead center accuracy :bash:It had broken my femur bone just below the ball and socket. This has been by far the most painful things I have done in my life. I am thankful I didn't damage the ball & socket.zI have three incisions.
Happy New year.

General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / Re: Backup Propane for forced air furnace
« on: November 12, 2015, 02:54:32 AM »
Propane companies are not always right. I started to smell gas and called the gas company. They come out checked it and told me I was smelling smoke from the boiler. Long story short I called them again and told them to come get their tank. New company came out to install the new tank and found the leak right away. It was a underground connection. Then because of sour grapes the old company wanted to charge me for their tank removal. I got that resolved by telling them when their people reset the tank and they didn't discount the line and broke it themselves creating a very unsafe condition. When I said unsafe condition conversation changed. I didn't have to pay for tank removal.
