I use a Woodminder system.  It works great!!  Does more than monitor temperature.  It actually monitors wood level and eliminates the need for an aquastat at you backup furnace.

Just purchased a WoodMinder Monitoring System for my Heatmore.  It works great!!  Not only does it show the Boiler water temerature, it shows the draft fan status and lets you know how much wood is left in the boiler.  It also eliminates the need to buy an aquastat to shut down the backup furnace. www.woodminder.com
