General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / Winterizing Outdoor Stove
« on: July 02, 2008, 03:19:10 PM »
Hi All,
We have a Mahoning outdoor stove in our hunting camp. My question is what steps should I take to winterize the stove during the cold Northern PA winter months?
I've wondered if there is someway for me to use solar power to operate a water pump and water heater of some sort to keep the water semi-warm all winter so I don't have to worry about pipes freezing. And has anyone used or considered using a 50/50 coolant/water mix to avoid feezing?
Open to any and all suggestions.
Thank you,
Andy
