I fired up my home made boiler in late November,  I live in Northern Indiana  It hasn't been as cold as last winter, but we did have a colder December it seems.  For my first bill there was a 1,900 drop in Kilowatt Hours.  I went from all electric baseboard heat,  to ducts, and a furnace and heat exchanger.  I didn't even hook gas to the furnace, I strictly use just the blower.   I'm anxious to see what its going to be for the January bill.

ashtonoutdoorwoodfurnace.com/  is the site, the reason im asking is because,  Im looking to buy an OWF Ive been looking at Timberwolf, and Ridgewood.  Then I saw a post on craigslist for a new wood boiler for 3,700 dollars.  But the post had a reply by e-mail only on it.
I e-mailed them 3 times before they replied.
Once they replied,  They called me and the guy was telling me that it was an ashton that had never been installed, and they wood sell it with a heat exchanger, 200 ft of outdoor pex and the installation package all for about 4,400.00.
So I started looking online for info.  But was only able to find there web site which is under construction.
It just seems like if they have been in business for  43 years like they claim,  That there would be tons of info online about them.Doyou all think this is some sort of scam?

Has anyone ever heard of Ashton outdoor wood furnaces, The owner is Dale Ashton,  They claim to have been in business since 1971
till 2009 in Ontario Canada, and from 2009 till present in Kawkawlin Michigan.  They have a website, but I think its under construction.
I cannot find any information about them on the web.
