Central Boiler / Re: cental 5036 temp isues.

I had the same thing happen to me. Reading would be high (but my temperature gauges would 30 to 40 degrees lower). Then as soon as I jarred the door the controler sets in, the reading would drop to match the temperature gauges. I checked for loose wires wires and the thermistor (1000 ohms at 25 degrees C) - everything was okay.
I changed out the controller (purchased it on ebay) and installed a surge protector. It has been working great.

I looking to purchase a gassification OWB. Anybody have any experience with CB eclassic 2400? I am looking to heat a 5000 sf home that was built in 1992 & DHW. Forced air heat, insulated basement walls. I have 12 full cords of two years plus seasoned wood that has been stored in a barn.

Plumbing / Brass and steel connections
« on: February 02, 2011, 10:14:24 PM »
I plan to replace the 3/4" steel plumbing on the back of my steel boiler with larger diameter brass fittings. I was wondering any corrosion problems that may develop? I have a free stash of brass fittings available.
