JUDDSPAINTBALLS  haha great point!   I believe I'll hang on to the other saws I inherited and just figure out how much I use each of them and make that decision next year.  I took a couple pics of the new 362 today and am going to try and attach them here in a minute.

I'll have to hit Migs up next time.  I'm in SW VA near TN on I81.  I went and checked out my stove today at my dealers house.  Looks good and am anxious to get it setup and burning.  Do you keep yours burning year-round?  Also, do you keep your water heater running or just let the water from the furnace feed it and have the heater shut off?   Also what kind of insulated pipe do you have going from the stove to the house?

I went and picked up the saw today.  Got the 362 with a 20 inch bar.  I went ahead and got the yellow chain on it and an extra one as well.  I didn't get the quick stop or mtronic carb upgrades, just the standard 362.  I'm anxious to get this thing into some wood.   Question, the chain feels a little tight on the bar, what's the rule of thumb of chain tension?  Again, I'm pretty much a chainsaw rookie but have this one and the others I mentioned (Jred CS2150 and Husky 262xp) that were my Dads.  Not sure if I need to keep these others or sale 1 or both of them and get a smaller Stihl saw and maybe a larger 441 or 460?  Give me your all's opinions!  Thanks in advance

Have actually been to Newberry once - stopped on my way back home from Augusta GA. Was the 1st Zaxby's I had ever eaten. Was pretty good!   Post another video of that Hardy on YouTube soon.

JOWEN thanks man.  I'm excited about getting this thing put in.  It's prob going to be mid march before the install (we're building a house).  I've researched this thing to death an do know they aren't perfect but I like the idea and the dealer being down the street in case I need something only helps.   Where you at in SC?  Liked your YouTube video too.  I'll prob post one of my initial burning too.

Thanks for all of your all's input.  I've decided on the Stihl 362 (standard, no bells and whistles). Going to pick it up tomorrow.  I'm seeing saws in my sleep with all the researching I've been doing.   I'm going to hang on to my Husky 262xp and Jonsered CS2150 for now.  Probably won't need all 3 but we'll see how it works out.  Now, time to cut up some down trees on the farm.  Next question, it'll come with the "green" chain, as the dealer said all saw going out the door must have them on.  Not sure if I need the "yellow" chain?  Guess I'll be dreaming about chains tonight.....

Sounds like a good plan.  More than 1 way to skin a cat, I guess.  I'll be sure to report back once the system is hooked up and running.

Hadn't considered the 441 but will give it a shot.  Is the 290 last years model, and replaced by the 291?  Thanks for the suggestion.

That's correct.  Pex inside of 1.25" pvc, so that expansion and contraction can occur. R5 is all the insulation required.  Have you heard of any of those basements leaking from expanding lines against concrete?  How deep do you put your pex from concrete surface?  Always curious to learn from other's experience.

Thanks Brad I appreciate that.  I'm actually anxious to get to work building up my wood supply. My wife is already dreading me being out of town for work! And as you said, I've got this money tied up in it and I'm not real excited about anyone touching it (even her...) thanks again and I've already learned a lot just by reading these threads.

Thanks Constable.  Yes the main floor is about 2800 sq ft with the full unfinished basement being the same.  I put R5 insulation on top of the gravel and plastic and placed the pex in PVC in case of any leaks so I wouldn't have to jackhammer up my basement slab to fix.  Ill have access panels to be able to replace the pex should I ever have to.  My dealer says it may take a little longer to come to temperature being in the conduit but once there it shouldn't take much to keep it there. I upgraded to the H25 from the H5 I was going to purchase once I decided to run through the slab. It's a chunk to bite off at once but I'm hoping the investment will pay off.  I will keep the 120 degree figure in mind, thanks that's helpful.

I appreciate all the insight, fellas.  I'll be researching  them for a little bit and trying out my buddy's 362.  The smaller Jonsedred is the CS2150 and I like it for limbing for sure. I'm going to have it and the Husky 262 cleaned and tuned up.  They've not been used regularly for probably 3 years.  All of the suggestions are helpful, thanks!

JOWEN - just curious how that stove is working?  Been awhile since you posted it looks like.  I'm getting ready to join you as a new Hardy owner.  How have the power bills been?
