I used a full quart of 10w30. I keep a paint brush hung up in the woodshed for this purpose.

We had our owb about 10 years. It's name has been "Smokey", from the begining. We have had some interesting conversations about this. Like when we were away and said we better get home and take care of Smokey. Our friends thought we left a dog at home.

I have a central boiler outdoor wood furnace.
I have cleaned out the fire box and coated it with oil for summer shutdown. Should the circulating pump be turned off or left on. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks Much, Augster
