Thanks everyone. The shed does have a standing seam metal roof and I do plan on running the pipe up through the roof. I purchased a mahoning furncace from my local dealer. I got alot of positive feedback on the dealer and stove from people in my area who have them. Hopefully it works out good.

Hello everyone. New on here and just purchased my 1st outdoor furnace I will be installing in the fall. I live in rural central PA. My question is does anyone have their furnace installed in an outdoor building? I want to put mine in an outdoor shed so its convenient in the winter time. The shed is about 15' x 15' with pretty high ceilings and cracks between the boards so Im not concerened about smoke. I am concerened about it being a fire hazard. Since it is only 13' from my house I wanted to get other peoples opinions on this. I plan to be very cautious and run the smoke stack straight up through the roof. Is it a bad idea to put these in a building?
