BillG-

Most expensive dinner I bought and didn't get to eat. Yeah we left the card. LOL

Can't say I've been where you are going fishing. We boat in Canada every other year. Last year we spent two weeks in Little Current, ONT. Beautiful country!

I power washed the front of the house this morning and greased the pickup's grease fittings. Thats it for me. Going to stay indoors the rest of the day. I'll be going on my next business trip which includes KY, OH, DE and NY the next two weeks. Don't want to overwork myself.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Hey BillG-

Any updates on the Install?

How did you make out with IRENE? We didn't get one drop of rain from her. She never made it over the mountains. Since her passing the weather has been perfect here in Western PA. Turned off the AC and opened the windows.

I noticed a couple of "new" dead standing trees and will get the chain saw out to top off the wood stack. I have enough room for about two more rows 12' long.

Winters on her way. The ferns on the forest floor are already retreating.  Wife saw a black catipillar wearing a LARGE coat. It won't be long now.

Ridgekid,

Good to hear from you!  Summer is waning and, just like the bad winter, I's glad to see it finally end!  Hate the heat, but this past winter was long, even for me!

Work has picked up and no complaints there.  Got a 70 plate w-w HX and deciding on which pumps to spend on.  The pipe is 1" ID and maybe Taco 009 at the very least?  Also, should control pump in basement (for pressurized system) with aquastat??  I would think there is no need for it to run 24/7?  Thinking set aquastat to come on at 150, off at 170???

Also, need to get crimp tool in for this size pex.

As you can tell, far too much time in thought phase and not much in doing phase yet...But I guess procrastinatin' can be good for the end result.

As for hurricane, we got got about 4-5 inches of rain and some folks had trees blown down.  Certain areas had lots of trees down.  I see a good chance for next years supplemental supply!

Fat Jacks dog run coming along.  Sure glad I bought all plywood before this hurricane!  See increases by the minute!

Keep in touch and I value your experiences in hook-er-up phase!!

I have propane furnace now.   From OWB:  Install elec recep for pump.  Full flow valve before and aft. pump.  Come off top port of OWB.  It runs 24-7.  Full flow valves bef/aft HX.  FF valve at OWB return.

In basement:  Come off top of furnace, FF valve bef/aft pump.  Need to get well for aquastat in there.  run to HX w/valves bef/aft.  Back to bottom of furnace.   And forgot, 2 wye strainers before inlets on HX.

Seems to simple??  Advice Ridgekid...Thanks in advance!!!!

Hey there you are! Confirms IRENE didn't blow the eastern half of the state off the map, although it looks like it might float away......

PUMPS: I don't have any expierance in these, but if my TACO 007 ever goes out, its going to be a Grunfos ALPHA pump. These pumps are amazing as they are self adjusting to load requirement. MTJAG installed them.

So if I understand correctly, you have a pressured propane boiler? I'm not really familiar with those installations but can offer this CB drawing for referance.

If i misunderstood and picked the wrong one, there are other drawings available here:

And of course we have actual installers on this board that can assist.
