marty, i believe i said..if you can keep your lines dry..i agree whole heartedly that dry earth will pull less heat than wet earth. so all things being equal....dry earth at 50 degrees will pull less heat from your insulated lines than dry earth at 20 degrees ....enjoy  your bud, bud.. ^-^
