Where do the flat plates mount on a water heater? From what I've found using a 20 plate now would be the same if not cheaper than a side arm. $130-190 for a side arm, 5"x12" 20 plate is $133 both from www.altheatsupply.com

I got mine from RSI.  He's a nice guy and  on the forum glad to give him the business. :)

I am shopping around for a outdoor boiler. Leaning towards a Heatmor 200 and am wanting to do as much of the install as possible. I am mechanically inclined, I have detailed instructions on how to lay out all the plumbing, I've watched videos on soldering tips, now I'm shopping around for the parts such as, 1" pex from house to boiler, water to water heat exchanger, domestic water heater, shut off valves, pumps, etc. Is there a good web site that sells quality stuff for a good price?

out of ny is good to deal with and stock most everything you would need.

A few questions: When referring to 1" PEX and 1" type M solid copper are they considered the same size, one wouldn't be restricting the other one?

On the web sites such as the alheatsupply and pexsupply does anyone know if the sidearm exchangers and plate exchangers are made in the USA? I'm getting quotes of over $500 for a 70 plate from local suppliers and you can get a 100 plate for $450 online, its it made in china garbage?
