Ya'll are making me jealous. I'd love to have BL 2840 but don't have a new stove already.

Really like the design.

Newby here but been lurking for months. Since you're offering all this free stuff I had to become a member. 8)
Bought a BL 2840 yesterday from Luke in Eagle Lake, Mn. I had not seen or heard of P&M until I found this website. I had looked at Natures Comfort, Central Boiler, Heatmaster and Shaver, all sold and in use in my area of Iowa. After finding this site, I called P&M and talked to Robert several times and found him very helpful about the boiler and he found an owner about 50 miles from me who let me come look at his set-up. The next day I found an ad for Southern P&M in MN., met up with him at a farm show and bought the boiler. He has it on hand and I will be picking it up in 2 or 3 weeks.
Now the issue of figuring out all the stuff I need to install it :-\

Not that it's a great big deal but I spoke with Brian this morning and we agree that we would like to track any residual sales from this forum, in order to accurately track it, starting today we will offer a $100 discount on the purchase price of your P+M boiler for simply letting us know that first you read and comment here as well as give us your feedback on our presence. I personally would like to thank the moderators for allowing those of us who do promote our products here to do so without any pressure to advertise, I know of no other forum that allows it! I think having a company rep to answer questions about their products is very important, Thank you all again!

This forum played a HUGE role in my decision to buy a P&M.  I sent in a down payment on a BL 3444.  Does this mean I can knock $100 off the price I already agreed on or is P&M going to send a refund?

I spent weeks researching what to buy as this will be my first OWB on a new home I'm building soon.  I wanted to be sure I made the best choice.  I had it narrowed down to CB and P&M and settled on P&M primarily based on the postings on this forum.  I had already almost made up my mind before I called my dealer for a price quote.

I really like the willingness of Slimjim to answer questions so completely and try to help people find what they need.  The only other place I found online that helped sway me was this guy's review of his P&M gasser: Outdoor Wood Furnace Tour

Thanks!

Andy

Slimjim,  I have been looking into getting an OWB for several months and am finally ready to make the purchase and have decided to go with the Portage & Main Ultimizer.  I live in Central Virginia and will be heating 4,400 sq ft house and 875 sq ft insulated garage both of which are 7 years old.  I will be using two 100 BTU forced air exchangers, 500 sq ft of radiant flooring, about 15 ft of baseboard heaters in the basement cold spot, and a 100 BTU or so garage heater on a Taco relay with one of the house 100 exchangers on priority.  I am guessing I would probably need the BL3444 based on other posts but most of those seem to be from Canada where its much colder.  Any advise on model and a contact to get this ordered would be appreciated.

Thanks,
John
