We got home from the job after 4-20 in the afternoon and were greeted by a new neighbor, he came over to our room for a beer( no I'm not gay although I don't care if you are) and fairly soon we all got into some pretty DEEP thoughts, the conversation migrated to how much fun it is to screw with people's minds without them realizing it and at the same time doing it with no harm. This guest recalled a guy that exhibited at quite a few flea markets and community yard sales for a little extra Dollars in cash, probably for mind altering substances, so anyway, this guy decided it would be fun to drill a 1/4 inch hole in the handle of a wooden handled toilet plunger, he then took an ordinary cord off a junk appliance and cut the cord so as the plug was still factory, then taped the cut end so as to not allow for a short, he then inserted the cord into the wooden plunger handle and sealed it up so the cord would not come out, he then put it with the rest of the crap he had on his table, I think we can safely assume it gained him lot's of very interesting conversations, wait till you see what I will be showing at my shows this year as I have pondered this for a few days now and have the ball in motion

Except for the guy that so proudly burned coal, remember that story, man we just had a great get together with my mom in law and her friends, what a great political and religious discussion, she surprised us when we got here, my buddy Danny would like to interject here, please don't take him seriously as he has more than likely had 1 too many beers and will be using my I pad

You know, this is strange and surreal at the same time. Wife has family in England, went there this christmas and spent a little over three weeks there. Did Christmas and New Years in the UK. While there we did some extensive traveling, went to Normandy France, seen the American Memorial and Cemetery, also seen Omaha Beach, Pointe du Hoc and Utah Beach. Some of the French spoke very good english and some spoke none. Still got along with either, point and smile worked well at the restaurant.

Spent 3 days and 2 nights at Loch Ness Scotland as well, had no problems with the accent or slang. Got back right before New Years then a few days after New Years did a pub crawl in the town where we stayed with the wife's favorite aunt. Ran into a guy from Glasgow Scotland, we stayed in the area of Inverness Scotland on our visit, had a hell of a time understanding the guy from Glasgow. This was at the first pub.

Later in the night after loosing track of how many pubs we were at, met an honest to god geordie. He said something to me, I looked at my beer, looked again thinking somebody might have slipped me a roofie or something then wondered just how many too many I had that night. Then his friends came up and admitted even an englishman can't understand a geordie when sober, said geordie was beyond sober.

Just strikes my funny bone is all. On a farming forum I belong too something was mentioned about how bad pop is for you with all the extra sugar and caffeine. Some members didn't know what a pop was, was either a soda or coke in their area.

Also used to have great fun at the first off farm job I had sending a newbie after the glass bender or board stretcher.

Where I work we hire work study students (I work at an Ivy League institution) to help with small tasks and those no one else wants to do.  Occasionally we'll send one of them to the shop to get 6 sky hooks and don't take all day, we need to get the job done as soon as possible.  Man, to see the look on their faces when they return without them.  They are all apologetic.  We'll then fill them in that there is no sure thing.  The emotions range from laughter, to they promise to get even, to really pissed off.  Roger
