First I wanted to say thank you to Scott for all his help. I've been reading the forum and researching for over a year and I drove over 3 hours back in the spring, past many dealers because of the support and time Scott took to answer all my question. I would highly recommend Scott to anyone.
I have a Heatmaster 5000E and I had great success heating my pool this summer. Used alot of wood but it beat paying for gas :-). Question I have is, I fired my stove up this past Saturday and its heating my house with no problems. I have approx 3800 sq feet and I have a loop connecting both my heatpumps and hotwater heater. I have my rear draft set on 50% and with the warm temp I have my stove set on 170 with 8 degree diff. Last couple of nights the temp has been around 36 degrees and Im loading the stove around 9pm with 2 large logs. (hard seasoned wood) In the morning Im down to ashes. With the mild temps I seem to be burning through wood really fast. Should I be doing something different or is this normal. I have plenty of wood, I just don't want to waste if Im doing something wrong. Thanks!!
